What's the difference between Medical & Chinese Acupuncture?

Chinese acupuncture is based on Chinese medical theory, which is thousands of years old. Chinese acupuncture requires many years of studying to truly understand. Medical acupuncture is a term coined by western MD's who are only required to have 100 hours of training in order to use the needles.

In my opinion, this is a gross misuse of this modality. There is no way to understand the theory of Chinese medicine and then learn the many techniques of needling in that amount of time.
